Pop Century Resort
Pop Century Resort is in the "value category" which are the most economical of Disney resorts.
This resort features twentieth century pop culture, which can create nostalgia. The rooms have themes by the decades, from the 1950's and 1960's all the way to 1990's. The resort is located about 22 miles from the Orlando International Airport.
The prices for the 4-person rooms, depending on the season, range from $82 to $141 per night plus tax of 13.5%. The rates are per room per night. There is an additional charge if $10 per adult per night for more than two adults in the same room.
The pricing makes Pop Century one of the most economical of all of the Disney resorts. Each room contains two double beds. There is also a limited number of rooms with a king-sized bed for disabled guests. Cribs are also available.
There are two categories of rooms available: Standard (for max 4 people) and Preferred (for max 4 people). The "Preferred" rooms, located closer to the pool and guest facilities, are slightly more expensive. The "Standard" rooms in other parts of the themed resort are the most economical. Each room provides an iron, ironing board, in-room safe and Disney Channel and ESPN. Also available are hairdryers, high speed internet access, laundry services and for an additional fee you can have a room with a refrigerator.
Disney owned and operated resort hotels and Disney Vacation Club resorts are smoke-free environments. All guest rooms, balconies, patios, meeting spaces, restaurants, lounges and public space are covered by this policy. There are designated outdoor smoking locations. A room recovery fee is charged for smoking in Guest rooms, on balconies, or on patios.
Themed Areas
Pop Century Resort features taller-than-life decorations from the 1950's to 1990 such as bowling pins, play doh, rubiks cube, cell phones, big wheel bikes and more. There are separate areas. . .

Pop Century Resort is located in the Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex area and is near Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park.

Guest check-in parking is just off of Century Drive in the Classic Hall. You will find the food court and other amenities in Classic Hall. Parking for guests staying in the 50's and 60's sections of the resort are to the right of the guest check in parking. Parking for the 90's section of the resort is to the left of the guest check in parking. Parking for the 70's and 80's sections of the resort are further to the left of the guest check in parking. The resort borders on the Hour Glass Bridge.

Transportation to Disney theme parks
If you have arrived with own car, naturally you can drive to the parks. You will get free parking as a guest of a Disney resort.
Also, there are buses to each of the four main theme parks. You can catch a direct bus to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM studios, and the Animal Kingdom. The buses run about every 20 minutes, so that should be your maximum waiting time when you come to the bus stop.
Everything Pop - shopping and dining
Pop Century Resort has a food court called "Everything Pop" which offers four different counter-service shops and the Grab-N-Go Market where you can buy fresh foods or take out. Foods available at the food court are sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers and a wide variety of baked goods. Best of all, they have ice cream! The dining atmosphere is surrounded by nostalgic props.
Classic Concoctions is a lounge with buffet available from 4 p.m. until midnight and does not accept reservations.
The food court opens at 6 am and is open till midnight and has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. See also the Menu.

These rates are per room, and don't include the Disney Resort Tax (13.5%). All rooms are maximum for four persons. A child under 3 can additionally sleep in a crib.

Pop Century Resort is one of Disney's newest options available, offering nostalgic decor and atmosphere. You will find the two-star hotel to be decent and clean with basic services and amenities. It is affordable and offers a basic place to stay while you enjoy the nearby Disney attractions.
The resort offers a pool where you can purchase a cold alcoholic or non alcoholic drink. There are three pools in interesting shapes - the computer pool, a 60's theme Hippy Dippy Pool, the Bowling Pool and a kiddie pool. They also have a pop jet water fountain. The kiddies are sure to love the playground. Also available are paths for recreation where you can ride surrey bikes around Hourglass Lake.
After a long day at the theme parks, you can order pizza or eat at the food court. You will find two 5,000 square foot arcades with food, beverages, shopping and courtyards. Transportation and maps for the Disney attractions are offered as well.
You can read various user reviews on these websites. There are always some who had a less than optimal stay, but the majority of guests are quite happy with it.
