All-Star Music resort
All-Star Music resort belongs to the "value" category of Disney resorts — that is, it is the most economical or cheapest choice of Disney resorts.
All-Star Music resort is decorated with iconical music items plus Disney characters, such as larger-than life trumpets, drum-set, hats and canes, jukebox and so on. The food court and the room decor — such as breadspreads, wallpapers, carpet, shower curtains, and light fixtures — follows similar lines.
Disney's All-Star Music Resort is located in Disney property, about two miles from Disney-MGM Studios, three miles from Disney's Animal Kingdom, four miles from Epcot Center, and seven miles from the Magic Kingdom Park. The resort guests enjoy a complimentary free transportation (by buses) to these theme parks, and free parking at the resort.
The prices for the 4-person rooms range from $82 to $141 per night, depending on the season, or from $179 to $285 for the Family Suite (6 person room). This makes it one of the cheapest of all Disney resorts.
All-Star Music resort has three different types of rooms available: Standard (for max 4 people), Preferred (for max 4 people), and Family Suite rooms which accommodate maximum of 6 people and contain a small kitchen and two bathrooms.
The "preferred" rooms are located in the Calypso building, and are closest to the main building, which has the food court, gift shop, arcade, and the bus stop. All the other buildings contain "standard" rooms. The "Family Suite" rooms are located in the Jazz Inn and Calypso buildings.
All of the rooms can additionally accommodate a child less than three years in a crib.
The five musical themed areas/buildings
All-Star Music resort consists of five areas, each of which contains two T-shaped hotel buildings. Each area is themed with taller-than-life size iconical musical instruments and Disney characters.
The buildings with themes, listed from the nearest to the main building (Melody Hall) to the farthest, are:
- Calypso — decorated with maracas, bongo drum, and a giant panpipe (pan flute) (buildings 1 and 10);
- Jazz Inn — is decorated with clarinets, saxophones, and a giant drum set (buildings 2 and 9)
- Rock Inn — has electric guitars, LPs, microphones, and a giant jukebox in entrance (buildings 3 and 4)
- Country Fair building — a banjo, a violin, and giant boots at the entrance (buildings 5 and 6)
- Broadway Hotel — with top hats and canes in the exterior (7 and 8);

The 4-person rooms contain two double-beds, a small table with 2 chairs, a small safe with key, a dresser, a TV, and a clock radio. The bathrooms have a sink, toilet seat, and a shower/bathtub. There is also a small vanity area with mirror.
The rooms for disabled guests have one king-size bed and larger bathrooms with a wheelchair-accesible shower instead of a tub.
The Family Suites have two separate bedrooms, a sitting-room area, and a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, sink, and coffeemaker. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a desk, and a TV.

Reviews
Generally, All Star Music resort is a decent, clean, two-star hotel with basic services and amenities. It is quite affordable, and perfect for people who want to mainly spend their days in the Disney themeparks and just need a basic affordable hotel to sleep in. The resort doesn't have many on-site entertainment possibilities, neither fancy restaurants, but the pool and the food court can be plenty enough after a busy "disney day" in the parks. Free parking and free transportation to parks are additional benefits.
You can read various user reviews on these websites. There are always some who had a less than optimal stay, but the majority of guests are quite happy with it.
